Santos - Belleview Trail

The Santos Belleview Trail is located in Ocala, Florida and offers visitors plenty of great recreational opportunities. The trail is bordered by asphalt. It runs alongside subdivision roads and a major highway and was originally a part of a limestone quarry. It is one of the state's most popular trails and off-road destinations. It combines single and double tracks and loops several times to create a total of 15 miles worth of trail. To this day, the trail continues to expand and there are plans to continue the expansion into the future. Much of the trail travels through pine and hardwood forest. The trails are marked so riders know which parts are most appropriate for their skill level. Yellow is the easiest, blue is intermediate and red is the most challenging. The trail is located on 300 acres worth of Florida park land and is part of the Greenways project. This is an ambitious effort by the state to create an across the state network of trails and off-road biking destinations. Riders love the trail and report it is safe, fun, well-kept and perfect for the novice rider, as well as the experienced mountain biker. There is a well-maintained campground near the trail for those who want to experience an overnight adventure.
