Santa Monica Civic Auditorium


Eight miles from Los Angeles is the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium of Santa Monica, California. Visitors to California are aware of Hollywood and its stages, but they may not realize the entire state is filled with various cultural events and venues like the Civic Auditorium. From the center individuals can find beaches, Santa Monica Pier, Third Street Promenade, and hotels.

The building was designed by Welton Becket in 1958. Since the early days the auditorium has offered several award shows, rock concerts, sporting events, banquets, and conventions. It is home to the Santa Monica Symphony, International Gem and Jewelry Show, and Modernism Show. The center has a hydraulic floor that can convert from 3,000 seats for performances to 27,000 square feet for exhibits.

Services offered for meetings and other booked events include telecommunications and electrical. With events like wedding conventions, merchandise marts, and comic con style conventions it is possible to have a booth or be in charge of booking an event.

A few of the current events include Contemporary Craft Market, Los Angeles Asian and Tribal Arts Show, and Westside Thanksgiving Celebration. Other options include Vintage Fashion Expo, Gem Faire, and Dorothy Emerson Antique Show and Sale.
