Rainbow Ridge Ranch

Those who want to experience horseback riding in a controlled environment because it is a new activity or who are experienced riders and want a basic, simple way to get out and ride will enjoy a trip to Rainbow Ridge Ranch. The ranch is located near Palmdale and Acton. Riders take horses up into the High Desert and through Pinion Pines, Joshua Trees, Manzaneita's, Junipers, Sage and shrub oak forests. There are hill trails and flat trails from which to choose. Groups of ten riders head out on the trail together with at least two guides. Larger groups can schedule outings, but will be divided up. It is common for riders to pack picnics, ride out to a clearing and dine in the wilderness. The ranch also offers Lunch and Dinner Rides. Both rides last three hours, plus the time spent dining at an area restaurant. Rides are rarely less than two to three hours, so novice riders and younger children, as well as older and more experienced riders have no problem handling the rides. The ranch is happy to host birthday parties and special events for kids and adults. Horses an be leased for events and for trail riding. Horse owners can also rent space for boarding. In addition to ride outings, the ranch offers Gymkhana and riding lessons.
