Pelly's Mini Golf at Del Mar Golf Center

Open from 8am to 9pm daily, the Del Mar Golf Center offers the opportunity to tee off at 65 stations with 30 grass stalls. Golf instruction is available, too, including the De Mar Junior Golf Academy as well as private lessons by PGA-trained instructors. But the main attraction here is Pelly's Mini Golf, featuring not one but two 18-hole courses.

The Surfin' Safari course mixes Hawaiian and Californian surfing themes. Holes are named after legendary point and reef breaks, such as Swami's near San Diego and Oahu's Banzai Pipeline, or styles of riding the waves Goofy Foot, Hang Ten, and 360. Obstacles have been modeled after surfing landmarks, like Point Loma's Cabrillo Lighthouse. The Ocean Adventure Course features sea creatures Turtle Bay, Mussel Beach, Walk the Plankton, Shark Park, and others. Two huge whales seem to jump out of the water at the center of the course.

Pelly's Mini Golf at Del Mar Golf Center has two private patios available for birthday parties, group outings, and other events. It is open at 9am every day, closing at 9pm on Sunday through Thursday and closing at 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The address is 15555 Jimmy Durante Boulevard, Del Mar, California 92014-1901. The cost of the first round is $9 for adults and $7 for children aged 12 years and under; replays are $4 and $3, respectively.
