The fashionable Orlando Hotel in West Los Angeles has recently been renovated. Its new color scheme includes rich chocolate browns, burnt oranges, and light tans, and it has added a new Executive Floor, aimed at attracting more business travelers.

The hotel's 98 oversized guestrooms are divided into three types: Luxury, Executive and Premium. The Luxury Rooms feature either a king-sized bed with a sitting area or two queen beds. The iPod docking station equipped Executive Rooms come with a king bed or two queen beds, while Premium Rooms offer a king bed and indoor-outdoor sitting areas.

All rooms have poolside or mountain views. Each one is provided with a 32'' flat-screen plasma television, DSL Internet connectivity, an AM/FM CD radio, a gourmet honor bar, a coffeemaker, a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board, and an in-room safe. Other basic amenities are cotton robes, slippers, 400 thread-count Egyptian cotton linens, and designer bath products.

Complementing the VIP treatment that every guest of the Orland Hotel receives are numerous facilities and services available on the premises. The lobby lounge, for example, features a 50'' plasma screen TV, free public-access wireless Internet service, 24-hour concierge services, and complimentary newspapers. There is an outdoor saltwater swimming pool for guest use, along with two dry saunas, a 24-hour fitness center, and a health spa.

Guests of the Orlando Hotel are invited to a complimentary European Breakfast Buffet each morning. They also receive a $10 taxi voucher. The hotel is pet friendly and completely non-smoking. Personal iPod rentals are available at the front desk.

Minestraio restaurant is the Orlando's acclaimed Italian eatery - winner of a three-star rating from the Los Angeles Times. This is where famed Chef Gino Angelini uses his wood-burning rotisserie oven and grill to create mouthwatering pastas and authentic Italian specialties using fresh seasonal ingredients. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, has a private dining room with its own wine cellar, and serves drinks on the outdoor terrace as well as in its tastefully styled bar and lounge. Room service is also available 24 hours a day.

For business travelers, the Orlando Hotel has two meeting rooms with a combined floor space of 3,000 square feet. They can accommodate up to 200 persons for stand-up receptions, 100 for theater-style presentations, 90 for sit-down banquets and 70 in a U-shaped classroom format. A business center is also located on site. Blocks of up to 50 rooms may be reserved in advance for groups.

The Orlando Hotel is close to Sunset Strip and Beverly Hills. The street address is 8384 West Third Street, Los Angeles, California 90048-4311. The driving time from Los Angeles International Airport is about 30 minutes. Take South La Cienega Boulevard north from the airport for about eight miles to West Third Street. Turn right and continue 0.2 miles. The hotel is on the right side of the street. Valet parking is available for a fee.
