Orange County Performing Arts Center


The Orange County Performing Arts Center is located in Costa Mesa, California. The arts center supports many artistic forms of expression through a variety of performances and media. The center opened in 1986 with 3,000 seats in Segerstrom Hall. There is also 250 seat Founders Hall. The center had to expand in 2006. This expansion led to the 2,000 seat Renne and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. They also added Samueli Theater, which is a 500 seat theatre. Orange County Performing Arts Center has a studio and education lab.

It also has a Tony Award South Coast Repertory. There is a vision for a future complex that will have 46,000 square feet to it. It will be an outdoor community with plenty of seating and interesting performances. Programs for the season include such things as Broadway shows, jazz, cabaret, classical music, ensembles, and chamber orchestras. There are also special events held throughout the year. The center tries to reach more than 500,000 people and students each year to enhance their artistic minds. They have the Pacific Symphony, Pacific Chorale, and Philharmonic Society of Orange County. Tickets can be found in packages or singles based on preferences.
