Formerly Marine World Africa USA, the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom provides an opportunity for families to have animal counters in a safe, close-up manner. The park features alligators, dolphins, sharks, cougars, elephants, butterflies, walruses, penguins and lots of other creatures kids will to watch playing and exploring. The park offers shows, animal feeding adventures and plenty of learning opportunities everyone will enjoy. Animals from the land, sky, and sea are all featured, so regardless of whether a child's favorite animal is furry or wet, they will find it here. The Dolphin Discovery program allows kids to have a dolphin swim experience, a dream come true for many people The Trainer for a Day program lets you work with sea lions and dolphins who are a part of the entertainment shows. The Dolphin Feeding experience lets visitors feed the bottle nosed dolphins and pet them. Sharks in the Dark is a sleepover program, great for learning about the behind-the-scenes goings on at the park. School programs are also available and fields trips are a popular way for kids to visit the park. In addition to the animal adventures that include safari's, performances, elephant experiences and exploration of exotic creatures, Discovery Kingdom features all the best of a regular Six Flag park with rides, food, non-animal entertainment, special events and family fun.
