Jack London Stadium 9

Formerly known as the Jack London Cinema, this theater underwent a major renovation when it became part of the Regal Cinemas group to emerge as the new Jack London Stadium 9. Patrons used to complain about the poor air-conditioning, uncomfortable seats, and lack of cup holders, but no more. Each screening room in the 9-plex movie theater now has stadium-style seating with the full array of amenities normally associated with Regal properties.

The movies offered here are predominantly mainstream, with focus on Hollywood blockbuster hits, such as the films of the Harry Potter series, romantic comedies, action-adventure stories, and animated features. Tickets prices average around $7.75 for first-run films, with economy pricing as low as $5 per person for weekday matinees. Corporate meeting space is also available.

The Jack London Cinema is located within Jack London Square at 100 Washington Street, Oakland, California 94607. Matinee shows start as early at 11:40am daily, with up to five viewings per day per screen. The last screening typically begins at 10:30pm on weekends as well as weekdays. Covered parking is available in the Washington Street Garage, which can accommodate up to 1,000 vehicles and is open till 1am on Sunday through Thursday and 2am on Fridays and Saturdays; discounts with validation apply.
