Frederick's of Hollywood Lingerie Hall of Fame

Frederick's of Hollywood is well known for their lingerie. They fit the larger woman who might not be able to find something in stores like Victoria's Secret. In Los Angeles there is the Frederick's of Hollywood Lingerie Hall of Fame. It is located at 6608 Hollywood Boulevard. The hall of fame was started before 2005, but it was in this year the hall of fame was moved to its current location, which is west of the original place. It is also next door to the Hollywood Wax Museum.

The hall of fame is now in the center of Hollywood action. Not much is left of the hall of fame. Most of it was left behind when the store moved to its new location. However, the idea of the hall of fame and some of the more important pieces were moved to show the history of the lingerie store and their creator.

Frederick Mellinger began the lingerie line in 1946, with the first ever flagship store. It was placed in an art deco tower, which was both flamboyant and practical for shoppers. It was decided a hall of fame was needed to push the label towards regular consumers, and not just famous consumers.
