Forest Lawn Memorial Park Hollywood Hills


Forest Lawn Memorial Park- Hollywood Hills is a cemetery in Los Angeles California. It is located at 6300 Forest Lawn Drive near the Santa Monica Mountains. Many of the plots will overlook north Hollywood, Burbank, and the San Fernando Valley. The Los Angeles River runs through a portion of the cemetery. Forest Lawn is known for preserving American history due to the events, Veterans Day ceremony and other VIP offerings.

At the memorial park is the Court of Liberty, which has statues of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. They stand at 162 feet long and 28 feet tall. The Old North Church is a replica of Boston's church that was mentioned in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem. The Hall of Liberty American History Museum has a replica of the Liberty Bell and other museum quality pieces. All of these places add to the cemetery grounds offering education about America. Several notable citizens are buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park including Harry Ackerman, Edie Adams, Iris Adrian, Philip Ahn, and Harry Akst. Also in the cemetery are Steve Allen, Leon Ames, Mignon Anderson, Lois Andrews, Gene Autry, Patricia Avery, Roy Campanella, Pete Candoli, Bill Cody Junior, and Ray Collins.
