Empty Stage Comedy Theatre


Los Angeles is full of theaters for live theater, movies, and more. The Empty Stage Comedy Theater is just one place in Los Angeles, California. They provide sketch comedy and improvisational theater. The theater is under ownership by Stan Wells. They have quite a few alumni that have been in popular shows or movies like Lisa Kudrow, Felicia Day, Kristen Wiig, and Cynthia Stevenson. Wells was responsible for providing Clap-in and transformation improv options to the stage.

Other forms include The Harold in which stories or a series of stories is told through the theater scene by the players. A lot of transitions between scenes are quick and entertaining for those who come to watch. Empty Stage Comedy Theatre offers classes for those who want to learn how to improv and do comedy. The classes do require a bit of payment and most are eight weeks in length with beginning and intermediate classes.

There are also other groups at the theater such as EffinFunny and Magic Meathands. These organizations are able to use the theater for their performances, as well as to have the regular performances open to the public providing several options for Los Angeles residents.
