Best Friend Dog Park

The Best Friend Dog Park is located at Huntington Beach, California. The park is a place where dogs and their owners can visit and enjoy time with other dogs and owners. There is a restaurant close to the park, (as all foods are prohibited at the park), Park Bench Café which caters specially to dogs and their owners. The park is funded by donations and the upkeep in maintained by volunteers.

At the park there is a dog beach where the dogs can run off leash along with waters edge, this area is slightly north of the pier. There are separate areas for large and small dogs.

At Park Bench Café there is a doggie menu Canine Cuisine, to ensure that the dogs do not miss out on the great food served, dog items have been specially created to ensure that are a healthy treat for the animals. Dining at the café is outdoor patio dining and several dog rescue groups use the café to help train animals back into society.

To ensure that the park continues for years to come, there are several rules that all visitors are asked to abide by. These include that all dogs must be over 4 months age, vaccinated and are licensed. Female dogs in heat are not permitted. Doggy bags and trashcans are located throughout the park and are to be used.

As the park relies on volunteers, it is greatly appreciated if on the last Saturday of each month, volunteers can come to the park as assist with cleaning the park to ensure that the park remains a safe place for dogs and their owners for many years to come.
