Mission Statement: To lead and advance economic development, promote and met business needs, add value to our members,and to enhance the quality of lfe within our community supporting civic and social welfare.
The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, non-partisan organization of businesses and professionals. Founded in 1961, we are comprised of 150+ business owners and civic leaders who are dedicated to promoting the economic growth and well being of the Town of Wilmington. We support our loal businesses throuh community development programs, business partnerships, events, educational meetings, and sponsorship of the town's Fourth of July and Holiday Tree Lighting celebrations. Additionally, we are proud to host the town's Anniversary Half Marathon & 5K Road Race every September. Proceeds from the race are reinvested back into the community via college scholarships and local donations.
We are advocates of the "Buy Local" strategy and work to educate consumers on it's importance.
