We are the only mixed martial arts facility in the city of Bartow. Our style is called WREKAR and is a mixture of hard-style Karate and submission wrestling. Developed in 1962, it is one of the first mixed martial arts based on reality techniques and not on Forms or Katas.
Our instructors have law enforcement backgrounds and hold national certification as Martial Arts Instructors through the Martial Arts Teachers Association.
We have classes for kids over the age of 8 with beginner classes forming constantly and meeting on Tuesday and Thursday from 3-4 or 4-5. Once the student has progressed to the orange belt level (2 months) they enter the intermediate class that meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3-4 or 4-5. We offer Demo team and Black Belt clubs. All new students receive their first uniform FREE.
Adult beginner classes meet Wed and Fri from 5:30-6:30 and intermediate classes meet Tues and Thurs from 5:30-6:60 with open mat on Saturday mornings.
We offer Women's Assault/rape prevention classes every Monday from 6-7:30 in 6 week blocks.
