Central Ohio Artist, Julie Spiegel, creates dazzling handcrafted beaded & wire jewelry, as well as sparkly wearable art. As an experienced watercolorist, jewelry designer, & pastel and colored pencil artist, Julie strives to create jewelry which will appeal to the senses, heart, mind, and body of the wearer.
Pieces are created using a variety of precious gemstones, Swarovski crystals, & custom wirework. The men's line is created with various combinations of leather, wire, and precious gemstones. Comfort and beauty are just two characteristics which describe some of the artist’s favorite jewelry.
Julie enjoys teaching classes, creating school spirit wear, and especially working side by side with teens to make just the right pieces for their most special high school occasions as well as dances. The healing gemstone jewelry is created while in a mild state of altered consciousness, & Julie believes these pieces have the ability to elevate the vibrational level, thus the consciousness, of the wearer. Healing jewelry is created while listening to sound healing CD's, shamanic drumming, or after a meditation session in which Julie’s intentions are set to create jewelry with healing properties.
Julie loves working with kids ages 9 to 90. Whether it's a special birthday, a Brownie or Girl Scout Troop, Cub Scout or Boy Scout Troop, parents often schedule classes before Christmas and Mother's Day to create a gift for that special Mom or friend. Julie also offers small group lunch lessons, office lunch lessons, as well as AM mom's groups. Classes are great times to meet new friends while creating new pieces of jewelry.
