- KDA_2_40111 - --There were 2 open cans of rock star energy drink in the bottom of the make table and upright freezer in the kitchen. Corrected on site (COS): Owner removed the employee drinks.
- KDA_3_30212 - --5 gallon buckets in the kitchen area and back storage room that contain spices (salt, sugar, seasonings) do not have the common name on the containers.
- KDA_3_30412B - --In the bulk spice 5 gallon buckets and chip bin there were scoops with no handles. COS: Manager removed the items and will replace with proper scoops.
- KDA_3_50116A2 - --In the make table, diced tomatoes (50.1F), pico de gallo (53.4F), and shredded cheese (50.6F) were not maintained at 41F or below. COS: Items were just prepared (less than 3 hours ago) and where placed in an ice bath and put in the walk in cooler to cool to 41F or below.
- KDA_3_50118A2 - --In the single door coca cola cooler, an open gallon of milk and made in house custard had no date marking. Employee said they were opened/made on 8/16. In the walk in cooler, refried beans cooked 8/16 per employee were not date marked.
- KDA_3_60311A - --There was no consumer advisory on the menu or in the facility. Owner said they cook steaks and eggs to order. Inspector provided information and owner said he would put it on the sign at the front of the restaurant.
- KDA_4_20211A2 - --The ice scoop by the ice machine is broken and missing the handle. COS: Manager removed it and said he will buy a new one.
- KDA_4_30111 - --The make table is not maintaining 41F or below for potentially hazardous foods. Ambient air temperatures were 52.0F (bottom) and 67.5F (top). DO NOT USE UNTIL EQUIPMENT CAN MAINTAIN 41F OR BELOW.
- KDA_4_30212B - --The establishment has a think probe thermometer, but it is not working. Owner said he is going to AAA restaurant supply today to get a new one.
- KDA_4_50111B - --The door seals on the make table are torn.
- KDA_4_60111A - --On the clean dish storage shelving, 2 containers with utensils and 3 glasses, had food debris/film on them. Manager said that they were not used and they were extras. Inspectors suggest washing them and keeping them covered with lids. Manager said he would have the dishwasher run them through the machine and then cover them. The table mounted can opener had dried on food debris. COS: Manager placed in the 3 compartment sink to wash.
- KDA_4_60213 - --The handles on the make table have food residue on the underneath and the door seals on the 4 door freezer in the back room have mold build up.
- KDA_5_10311B - --The hand sink in the middle room by the coca cola cooler does not have hot water available.
- KDA_5_20515B - --The water line to the 3 compartment sink is leaking and has a bucket catching the water.
- KDA_6_20215A3 - --The double door in the back room has a gap in the middle and at the bottom that could allow for pest entry.
- KDA_6_50111 - --There are tiles missing in the warewashing area. The floor in the walk in cooler is broken and the wood floor is exposed.
- KDA_6_50118 - --The handle on the faucet on the kitchen hand sink has food build up on the underneath.
- KDA_7_10211 - --In the warewashing area, a clear bottle with clear liquid had no common name. Employee said it was degreaser. In the bar area by the hand sink, a clear bottle with blue liquid had no common name. Manager said it was windex. NOTE: These items need to be labeled with the common name on the container. Owner had paper and will be sure they have the common name on them.
- KDA_7_20111B - --a spray can of coil cleaner was next to single use food items and clean lids to buckets. A gallon bucket of paint was directly above packages of tortillas. COS: Manager moved the chemicals.
- KDA_Defacto - --3 Compartment Sink: 50 parts per million chlorine. --Coca Cola Cooler (single door) Salsa: 39.4F Coca Cola Cooler (2 door) Ambient Air: 36.9F (no potentially hazardous foods) Walk in Cooler Cooked Chicken: 38.0F Refried Beans: 39.6F --Steam Ovens Queso: 147.8F Rice: 140.3F Beef: 151.8F Beans: 148.7F Rice (on top of oven): 150.3F --Wiping Cloth Bucket: 50 parts per million chlorine.
