- Screening
Failure to provide adequate screening or other protection against pests. Specifically, I observed an overhead door and pedestrian door along the east side of the building that were left open. These doors were observed to be open upon my arrival at the facility and remained open for most the duration of the inspection. The doors were closed upon pointing the observation out to management. Corrected-on-site.
- Maintained
Failure to maintain toilet facilities in a sanitary condition. Specifically, I observed that the toilet room fixtures (sink and toilet) were not clean and were soiled. The degree of soiling would indicate that these fixtures are not cleaned at a sufficient frequency to maintain their cleanliness.
- Hand drying
Lack of a sanitary towel service or suitable hand drying devices. Specifically, I observed that the hand towel dispenser in the employee restroom was empty. Management stated that they would refill the towel dispenser.
- Harborage areas
Failure to cut weeds or grass that may constitute an attractant, breeding place, or harborage area for pests, within the immediate vicinity of the plant buildings or structures. Specifically, I observed overgrown vegetation along the south exterior wall of the building and along the south end of the parking lot.
- Signs
Lack of posted, readily understandable signs directing employees to wash and sanitize hands as appropriate. Specifically, there were no signs posted in, or near, the employee restroom that direct employees to wash their hands.
