Running water at suitable temperature Hand-washing facilities lack running water of a suitable temperature. Specifically, I observed that the hand washing station in the non-soy extrusion room lacked a sufficient supply of hot water. The water temperature did not get warm even after leaving the faucet handles (hot & cold) open for more than twenty seconds. The hand sink hot water supply is generated via a small on-demand hot water heater system installed beneath the sink.

Seams on food contact surfaces Failure to have smoothly bonded or well maintained seams on food contact surfaces, to minimize accumulation of food particles and the opportunity for growth of microorganisms. Specifically, seam welds witin the hopper that is located just after the extruder on the Soy Free Extruder Line are not smooth. Additionally, seams on the cutter head shield were observed to be separating.
Materials and workmanship The design of equipment does not allow proper cleaning. Specifically, I observed duct tape wrapped around the fines discharge tube within the soy free raw milling line. A plastic bag had been taped to the discharge tube and remnants of the plastic bag and duct tape were present on the discharge tube.
