- Tonkawaya Ranch B&B (pronounced Tonka- Way- ah) is located in Fredericksburg, Texas. We have four private cabins available for individual or small group stays. The cabins are located on a private ranch a short distance from Main Street in Fredericksburg. Each cabin has been decorated in a popular Hill Country style. We serve a full breakfast on weekends which we deliver to your door, and a continental breakfast on weekdays. Cabins have small kitchenettes complete with dishes and cookware, microwave and refrigerator. Coffee pot, coffee and teas are available in each cabin. Each offers a bath with shower. Tonkawaya Ranch cabins are furnished with quality bedding and everything needed for a short or extended stay. Flat panel TV's and DVD players are in each room. At this time, we do not have satellite TV. All cabins have a nice front porch with sitting areas to enjoy the scenery. Longhorn cattle and deer reside on the ranch and our guests enjoy watching them. The views from the cabins are beautiful with long range views of the Texas Hill Country. We have provided hammocks in the shade for restful respite. Guests have the opportunity to enjoy our "Guest Corral" area in front of the cabins. There are picnic tables, a grill, chairs and horseshoes, as well as a large fire pit for the nightly fires we provide. Stargazing is beautiful here, as are our sunrises. New for 2011 will be Wi-Fi access, and we plan to provide an indoor gathering area with kitchen for groups to enjoy. We have added some weekend events as well. Music, western story-telling, cook-outs, and hay rides are among our scheduled events. Call for dates and times. We are a short distance from most of the vineyards, Wildseed Farms, LBJ parks and Fredericksburg Trade Days. We also have limo pick-up at your door for the Texas Wine Tours.(with reservation and additional charge) Your hosts have arranged for you to enjoy the lovely scenery the Texas Hill Country has to offer. Dress is casual and cabins are modest yet well designed and decorated. Staying at Tonkawaya Ranch offers a unique experience for your get-away with the convenience of most hotels and motels. We do not offer daily maid service but have provided each cabin with every amenity to enjoy your stay in our beautiful surroundings. Our rates vary between $89.00 per night to $145 per night for two people. Three of our cabins comfortably sleep two people, the fourth cabin sleeps 4. We are located at 6918 Ranch Road 1631, 6.9 miles directly off Main Street (Highay 290 E).
