Ty Warner Sea Center


As part of the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, the Ty Warner Sea Center is located on the famous Stearns Wharf. Visitors to the Sea Center can enjoy several interactive exhibits and hands-on games that provide entertainment and learning about the natural world. Exhibits include tide pools, a 1,500 gallon tunnel within an underground aquarium, a shark tank where people can touch the sharks, and the chance to perform the work of an oceanographer.

The official address of Ty Warner Sea Center is 211 Stearns Wharf, Santa Barbara, CA. the center is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm and closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's day. Admission to the center is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors 65 and over, $7 for teens 13-17, $5 for children 2-12, and free for children under two.

People can also sponsor one of the animals housed at the center. By adopting an animal, people receive a personalized adoption certificate, a fact sheet, and keepsake color photo. Ty Warner also has several volunteer opportunities for people who have a desire to learn more and lend a helping hand. Volunteer opportunities include tour guides, aquarium assistant, outreach assistant, office administration, and nature adventure guide.
