Oasis Camel Dairy

The first camel dairy in the United States, Oasis Camel Dairy is a family farm that produces camel's milk and aspires to educate the public about the amazing camel and the nutritious nature of their milk.

Led by Gil and Nancy Riegler, the thirty-four-acre farm is home to birds and other farm animals along with camels. Gil Riegler consults as a husbandman for various area zoos. Nancy Riegler also has a history of working with animals, particularly camels. The farm resides just off Julian Road about halfway between Ramona, CA and Julian, CA. They have been featured on the Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe.

Oasis Camel Dairy offers public tours once a month. They also offer private group tours with advance reservation. Guests can also try a Safari Camel Adventure, a private ride for groups of four to eight. In addition, the farm sells camel milk soap, hosts a Wild West Turkey Stampede, and their Amazing Bird Show.

The Oasis Camel Dairy resides 60 miles northeast of San Diego, CA, just outside the northern edge of the Cleveland National Forest. Tourist attractions nearby the farm include Eagle Mining Company, Volcan Mountains Wilderness Reserve, Lake Cuyamaca, and several city parks and campgrounds.
