Eberle Winery

Gary Eberle started his Eberle Winery in 1973 when he moved to Estrella River Winery in Paso Robles, California. The winery was family owned and provided about 500,000 cases of wine a year. Gary did not stop with his wineries founding Paso Robles Appellation in 1980. He had a partner. Eberle Winery premiered with a 1979 Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery produces about 25,000 cases of wine each year in addition to the other holdings the Eberle family has.

When guests come to the Eberle Winery they will be greeted by a Boar at the entrance. This bronze sculpture is a tribute to the family name, which means small boar. The bronze was cast in 1620. The boar sits outside the tasting room. As part of the winery there is the tasting room and caves. Roughly 16,000 square feet of underground caves are below the winery, in which every bottle made is stored until it is shipped or sold. Tours are available from 10am to 5pm in the winter/ spring months and 10am to 6pm in summer and fall. There is a VIP tour and tasting for $25 per person or the Gourmet Picnic Lunch where one gets to tour the vineyard and have a picnic.
