A ROUTINE INSPECTION was conducted today. Thank you for accompanying me during this visit and answering my questions as your participation allows me to assess processes at your facility that may require further assessment. NOTE: At this inspection inspector observed that staff were washing hands between tasks, using fresh gloves and changing sanitizer solutions in buckets and smaller containers. Critical: Toilets and Urinals / Numbers and Capacities by Law Observation: There are not an adequate number of toilets required by the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code.OBSERVED ONE TOILET HAD AN OUT OF ORDER SIGN DUE TO MALFUNCTIONING LIGHT LEAVING FACILITY WITH ONLY ONE UNISEX TOILET.FACILITY HAS SEATING FOR APPROXIMATELT 20 PLUS STAFF.
Correction: At least one toilet and not fewer than the toilets required by Law shall be provided. If authorized by Law and urinals are substituted for toilets, the substitution shall be done as specified in Law. ASKED MANAGER TO REPAIR LIGHT AND MAKE THE TOILET AVAILABLE TO PATRONS WITHIN 10 DAYS.
Outer Openings, Protected / Screen Requirements Observation: Gaps/ Openings to the exterior of the building are present along the front door due to gaps in weathering and two doors not closing flush and flies were observed .
Correction: Fill or close holes and other gaps along floors, walls, and ceilings to protect against the entry of insects and rodents. ASKED MANAGER TO REPAIR THE DOORS TO ENSURE THEY CLOSE WITHOUT ANY GAPS THAT CAN RESULT IN ENTRY OF VECTORS AND INSECTS.

Critical: Certified Food Manager/Presence Required (corrected on site) Observation: There is no Certified Food Manager present at the beginning of the inspection. Certified food manager arrived approximately 20 minutes after the start of the inspection.
Correction: It shall be unlawful to operate a food establishment unless it is under the immediate control of a certified food manager. It is highly suggested that you have more than one employee with the food manager's license. ORS Interactive, Inc. (see handout provided) issues the required photo identification card with proof of successful completion of a certified food manager's exam. Failure to have a certified food manager on site during ALL hours of operation including food preparation, food service, and cleaning/sanitizing of equipment/utensils will result in closure of the establishment.
Plumbing / Maintained in Good Repair Observation: The sink basin at one of the unisex restrooms ( left/old mens restroom) is slow to drain.
Correction: A plumbing system shall be maintained in good repair.
Refuse Container with Cover/ Women's & Unisex Toilet Room Observation: There is no covered refuse container for the disposal of feminine napkins in the unisex room stall.
Correction: A toilet room used by females shall be provided with a covered receptacle for sanitary napkins.
