The purpose of today's visit was to conduct a routine inspection. Observed facility clean and organized.
No violation noted during this evaluation.
03/07/2016Routine
This is a follow-up inspection for checking the restoration of hot water and the air gap below th sanitize basin of the 3-vat sink and the floor drain. The hot water at the hand sink has been repaired, However, the air gap is still not restored.
5:202.13 Air gap (repeat Violation) The space between the discharge pipe of the three vat sink and the floor drain does not have a minimum of one (1) inch space. Corrective Action: Provide an air gap of at least one (1) inch at the discharge pipe of the three vat sink and the floor drain. An additional 10 days has been granted to complete this task. Thank you.

  • Handwashing Sink / Mix Valve or Combination Faucet , Water at 100°F
    Observation: Water from the only kitchen handwashing sink was measured at a temperature less than 100°F.
    Correction: Within 10 days repair the handsink hot water to ensure that a minimum of 100f water is available for handwashing. A handwashing sink shall be equipped to provide water at a temperature of at least 100°F through a mixing valve or combination faucet.

The purpose of this visit is to conduct a risk factor assessment. Employee Health policy in place. Sanitizer observed within acceptable limits. Employees are properly logging process temperatures during today's visit.
1. Repair the hot water at the handsink to a minimum of 100f within 10 days. Email or fax a copy of the invoice for the repair of the handsink hot water to my attention at the health department
2. 5-202.13 The space between the discaharge pipe of the three vat sink and the floor drain does not have a minimum of 1 inch space. Provide an airgap of at least 1 inch at the discharge pipe of the three vat sink and the floor drain within 10 days. You may email or fax an invoice for the repair of a photo showing that the air gap has been created. Please feel free to call or email me with any questions you may have. Thank you.

    Observation: Outside refuse container was uncovered.
    Correction: Receptacles and waste handling units for refuse, recyclables, and returnables shall be kept covered with tight fitting lids or doors if kept outside the food establishment.
  • Lighting Intensity/ Food Prep Area / 50 foot candles (corrected on site)
    Observation: Observed that inadequate lighting was provided in the food preparation areas. One of two light bulbs was noted to be burned-out under the hood
    Correction: Increase the lighting to provide a minimum of 50 foot candles in all food preparation areas. Replace the burned out bulb to provide adequate lighting under the hood.
