I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Executive Coach who has been providing therapeutic services since 1986.
My approach is to be an effective, caring, results oriented therapist and coach. I believe in empowering clients to maximize their strengths and achieve significant short and long-term goals.
I primarily utilize a Cognitive Behavioral approach but incorporate both Mindfulness,Solution Focused therapy and tools such as Biofeedback. Helping people learn to understand their thinking processes and also identify patterns of behavior that may no longer meet their needs can allow for both short term and long terms changes. My philosophy stresses personal insight and responsibility, health and wellness - integrating the physical, intellectual, spiritual, and emotional in an open environment that allows people to commit to change. Having taught hundreds of people to learn to manage their emotional and physical stress, I believe that giving people skills, allows them to manage their lives in a healthier manner regardless of what the future holds for them.
