The 159 guest rooms, with interior corridors, were renovated in 2008. Holiday Inn Express shuttle provides rides 24 hours to the airport, MARC Commuter train, Light Rail, Amtrak station, and local attractions within 5 miles. Pets (other than service animals) are not permitted. The hotel has a list of nearby kennels.

Description: Early to bed, etc., means Ramada guests can enjoy a free continental breakfast from as early as 4 a.m. Executive guest rooms have a microwave and a refrigerator. Each room has a 27” cable TV. An outdoor pool is available seasonally. An on-site restaurant and lounge, Parkstone Grille, is open Monday through Saturday, with after-dinner entertainment (open-mic, karaoke, DJ) on select evenings. Park, Stay and Fly programs allow up to 14 days parking with one night stay and $5 per night parking for more than that. A fee is applied to extra BWI shuttle trips. The Ramada shuttle serves only their hotel and operates 24 hours.

Description: Each suite in the Arundel Mills TownePlace Suites has an in-room safe, fully equipped kitchen with microwave and refrigerator, 32” flat-panel TV, and separate living and sleeping area. A heated outdoor pool is available seasonally. A 24-hour exercise room and food market are available. The complimentary shuttle runs 24 hours and serves two hotels in addition to the TownePlace. Pets are welcomed with a $100 non-refundable service fee.

Description: Since Arundel Mills opened in November 2000, it has become a popular destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment. The center includes more than 200 one-of-a-kind manufacturer and retail outlets, dining options (fast food to slow food), specialty retailers, and category-dominant stores.Arundel Mills is located off I-95 and the Baltimore–Washington Parkway (Highway 295), heading south from Baltimore, via Highway 100 in Anne Arundel County. It is also just 2 miles west of the Baltimore–Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. There is plenty of parking available. Regular hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Holiday shopping hours may extend later. Valet parking is available on weekends at the Cinemark 24 Theater entrance.

Description: Although slightly smaller than its Virginia counterpart, Arundel Mills also specializes in name-brand outlet stores, including some places you won’t find anywhere else in the region. This lively, colorful mall features fun offerings like Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament and Dave & Buster’s Grand Sports Cafe. Anchors include the 130,000-square-foot Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, featuring everything for fishing and hunting enthusiasts; Off 5th–Saks 5th Avenue Outlet; Books-A-Million; Old Navy; and Muvico Egyptian 24 Theaters, the area’s largest movie theater, which even features a children’s playroom. Among clothing and specialty stores you’ll find H&M, a Banana Republic Factory Store, Ann Taylor Loft, Jones New York Country, Skechers USA, and Kirkland’s Outlet. Grab a bite to eat at the large food court.

6. Muvico Egyptian 24 Theatres

Description: Although located in Anne Arundel County just outside Metro D.C., this posh, enormous complex is worth the drive. With 24 screens, it’s easily the largest theater in the area, and it boasts amenities galore. Check out the Egyptian-themed decor, stadium seating, and supervised children’s playroom, where kids get to hang out while their parents enjoy a movie. While you’re there, visit the mall’s designer outlet stores.
