Although Sierra-at-Tahoe provides great terrain for skiers and boarders of all abilities, beginners especially love it because it has such a wide variety of slopes they can feel perfectly comfortable on. You won’t find sharp cornices and steep chutes here, but there’s plenty of thrilling cruiser runs cutting through the tall timber. Boarders can choose from six award-winning terrain parks, which are impeccably groomed for the latest thrills. A sister resort to Northstar-at-Tahoe, Sierra offers the Vertical Plus frequent skier program also available at Northstar (see the previous description of Northstar for details). Listed in Snow Country magazine as the best resort in the far West for on-mountain food, the eight eateries at this resort are certainly a cut above the average. For a tasty lunch with a world-class view of Lake Tahoe, drop into the Grandview Bar & Grill at the top of the mountain.
