Description: Founded in 1969, Thomas Jefferson School of Law is a private, nonprofit, independent law school whose mission is to provide legal education to a diverse array of students. The campus is located in Old Town and consists of two Spanish-style buildings that overlook San Diego Harbor.Dedicated to individualized instruction, class sizes at Thomas Jefferson average fewer than 30 students. Faculty and administration recognize that law school is a stressful experience, thus they provide maximum accessibility and many support services to help provide students with the necessary skills to successfully complete their course of study.Special programs include a Judicial Internship Program that permits students to clerk for federal and state judges, and Field Placement Programs that provide opportunities for working with attorneys in public agencies such as the district attorney’s office.
