Description: Among the largest of California’s community colleges, 24,000-student Mesa College is situated in the geographic heart of San Diego, in Kearny Mesa. Sprawled across 104 acres, the college offers 70 degree and certificate programs, including a comprehensive array of health-care courses as well as those in animal health technology and biology. The $20 million Learning Resource Center—with a library, computer labs, and media facilities—opened in 1998, and the three-story Humanities and Multicultural Studies facility was inaugurated in 2003.
