Miami Beach Convention Center

The Miami Beach Convention Center opened in 1957 and is located in the heart of Miami's South Beach neighborhood. The center offers more than a million square feet of space including 500,000-square feet of exhibit space, 100,000-square feet of pre-function space and 70 meeting rooms. The center offers the best of both worlds, located near all of the fun activities, but appropriate enough for business events. The center spans four city blocks and is surrounded by white sandy beaches, shopping, award-winning restaurants and nightclubs and bars. There are more than 2,000 hotel rooms within walking distance of the center and the Miami International Airport is just a 15 minute drive away. Those hosting events at the center enjoy access to a board room, a business center, box offices, a cyber café, concession stands, concierge desks, show offices and a skywalk that leads to the buffet and cocktail lounge. Annually, the center hosts the Miami International Boat Show and North American's most important contemporary art fair, Art Basel Miami Beach. The annual corporate meetings of Microsoft, SAP America, Best Buy, Nike and IBM are held at the center. The center has hosted both the Republican National Convention in 1968 and the Democratic National Convention in 1972.
