Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center

Acclaimed as one of America's premier event centers, Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center provides 400,000 square feet of flexible use space and is within walking distance of distinctive shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

Construction started on the arena in 1962 and has since then hosted several notable events, but is most famed for hosting the 1984 Olympic volleyball games.

Besides its vast square footage of exhibit space, the convention center also offers two theaters, 34 meeting rooms, and an arena. The Terrace Theatre has 3,051 seats arrayed in orchestra-type seating and is generally used for larger performing arts events. The 825-seat Center Theatre provides a more intimate setting where each seat has an excellent view. The lobby of the Center Theatre overlooks the Queen Mary and the Rainbow Lagoon. The arena seats 13,500 and has the world's largest mural, "Planet Ocean," painted on the outside.

The Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center is located about 30 minutes south of Los Angeles International Airport and is just blocks away from the Pacific Ocean. Other nearby tourist sites include the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific, The Queen Mary and a Russian submarine, Long Beach Museum of Art, and several parks local parks.
