Laguna Beach

Midway between Los Angeles and San Diego, Laguna Beach claims status as California's premiere seaside beach destination and was once described by a local artist as "a paradise a source of inspiration."

Laguna Beach offers seven miles of sand and surf for water sports enthusiasts, fishermen, art lovers, and beachgoers. Surfing and skimboarding are popular activities of visitors, and the 15-foot waves provide excellent surfing conditions. This beach is known for its clean sand and beautiful surroundings.

Highlights along Laguna Beach include the historical Laguna Playhouse, where entertainment has pleased audiences for decades, making it the oldest continuously operating theater in the area. The Laguna Art Museum resides less than a block from the beach and offers art enthusiasts a look at contemporary and historical art from California and the surrounding region. Tourists visiting the Marine Mammal Center will experience firsthand the expertise involved in rehabilitating marine animals to be released into their natural environment.

Adjacent to Laguna Beach, the San Joaquin Mountains slope down to the ocean, and because of the topography of the area, only Pacific Coast Highway lends access to this area.

Located a one-hour drive south along the Pacific coast from Los Angeles International Airport, the beach is lavish with dining, lodging, shopping and cultural experiences.
