Coronado Municipal Beach

Coronado, California is known as a top ten place to visit. Coronado is off shore from San Diego. It is possible to reach the island via ferry or bridge. As a wonderful setting there are many places for visitors to go and enjoy. Coronado Municipal Beach is a crown of the city with mansions running along the beach front and yacht clubs along the bay.

The Municipal Beach is owned by the city, which ensures it is kept clean. There are North and Central Beach portions. North Beach is from Sunset Park to North Island Naval Base. It is a beach for dogs and their owners. There are also fire rings in the sand dunes. Central Beach is from Ocean Boulevard to Hotel Del Coronado. Here it is possible to park and go over the dunes to see the crowds. Visitors can get a meal at the hotel, watch the beach walkers, sunbathers, and enjoy the boardwalk nearby. It is considered a romantic beach during the evenings.

As part of the Municipal Beach there is The Shores or the Silver Strand beaches at the state park. All beaches have facilities, though Municipal Beach has less than the state park beach.
