Cascade Stables

Those who want to explore Lake Tahoe in an unusual way may want to consider doing so on horseback. Horseback tours are offered by Cascade Stables during the months of June, July, August, and September. Riders take one hour rides and can choose between rides to Cascade Lake or to the scenic overlook of Lake Tahoe and the south shore. There is also an easier tour available that offers riders a gentle trip along the Meadow Trail around Lake Tahoe. Two hour and full day rides are also available and take riders around Cascade Lake or out into Desolation Wilderness. During their ride, riders can enjoy swimming, fishing, or just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. In addition to general tours, Cascade Stables offers Breakfast and Steak Rides, a chance to enjoy the countryside on horseback and dine on a hearty western style breakfast or a cowboy style steak dinner, cooked over an open fire. Other popular riding trips include Pack Trips and Extended Pack Trips, Fishing Trips, and Spot Packs.
