Description: This is it: our Insiders’ favorite executive course. Actually there are three 9-hole courses that easily add up to a pleasurable day out.Oaks North is stunning, with long and short fairways that make it fun for experienced golfers (you see lots of them) and duffers, too. There is a dress code here—you’ll need to wear nice shorts or khakis and golf shirts (or shirts with collars). The prices range from about $30 weekdays to $34 on weekends. The twilight rate is a bargain as it starts at noon on weekdays, 1:00 p.m. on weekends. A cart will cost you $8.00 extra per person, and unless you always get a cart when you golf, forego it here. The walk is worth the price of admission.Call ahead to reserve a tee time. There’s a snack bar and shaded patio for lunch or an after-golf iced tea, soda, or beer.
