South Tahoe Ice Arena


The South Tahoe Ice Arena is a public ice skating facility, serving residents of the Tahoe area and visitors alike. It features a full range of services and programs, with state of the art amenities and top-notch staff. In addition to a regulation NHL size sheet of ice, there are locker rooms, the Arena Café snack bar, a retail Pro Shop, a game arcade, and party rooms for rental.

Public skate sessions are scheduled daily, with the ice reserved especially for adults only on Saturdays from 10:45am to 12:45pm. Families can take the ice during the Public Skating period starting at 1pm every day, with ending hours varying from 3:45pm to 5pm, subject to skating school and freestyle practice, which follow.

Among other opportunities offered at the South Tahoe Ice Arena are curling lessons starting at $12 per session, broomball for $7.50 per player, and ice hockey. The latter is organized into leagues for both adults and youth, with matches typically featured on Sunday afternoons. Private skating lessons are available during the morning hours.

The South Tahoe Ice Arena is located at 1176 Rufus Allen Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe, California 96150-8211. Operating hours are from 7a to 10pm daily. Rental skates cost $3 per pair, and general admission is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors and youth, and $6 for children aged 5 and under. Discounts are offered to El Dorado County residents.
