Rancho San Antonio County Park


Rancho San Antonio County Park is part of Santa Clara County in Cupertino, California. The office running the park is the County of Santa Clara Parks and Recreation Department to the Mid Peninsula Regional Open Space District. The entire park is 165 acres of land which sits next to the Mid Peninsula Regional Open Space Preserve. The preserve is 2,135 acres of land.

Combined there are over 2300 acres of trails both in the preserve and park, as well as nearby. The entrance to the park is located in the foothills section just below Skyline Ridge. It is near Interstate 280, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, and Cupertino. From Highway 85 visitors can take the interstate towards San Francisco.

At the park there are informal and formal recreational options. Jogging and hiking are the most common interests of visitors, but there is also a restroom area, equestrian place, and bike trails. Bikes are limited to the paved trails such as the Rancho San Antonio Trail. There are also special trails for horses and their riders. The South Meadow area near the parking areas offers "rough grass" for model airplanes and their drivers. In North Meadow are tennis and handball courts.
