O'Brien Estate Winery

Established over twenty years ago, the O'Brien Estate Winery aspires to create wines that exude the essence of the soil where the grapes are grown. Located south of Yountville, just one half mile off Highway 29, the winery sits in the Oak Knoll area of the southern Napa Valley.

The winery uses only Bordeaux winemaking practices and French oak wine barrels to create natural-tasting wines. The winery sits on 33 acres of country in the Napa Valley, where visitors will find vineyards, the winery, the O'Brien's home, picnic tables, and areas shaded by oak trees.

The winery opens for tours Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 5:00 p.m. Calling in advance for an appointment will allow for the O'Briens to individualize a tour for visitors. They show the winemaking process from start to finish and offer tastings of all the current release wines.

Equidistant from several area airports, O'Brien Estate Winery resides 60 miles northeast of San Francisco International Airport, 60 miles west of Sacramento International Airport, and 50 miles north of Oakland International Airport. Visitors will find nearby tourist sites, including Napa Valley Wine Train, Andretti Winery and other wineries, Napa Valley Country Club, Traintown Railroad Rides, Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park, and Jelly Belly Candy Company.
