Napa Valley Museum


Napa Valley Museum is a cultural and environmental location offering the heritage of Napa Valley. Napa Valley is more than just the city of Napa. It also has other towns like Yountville. The museum is located in Yountville, California. The museum has temporary exhibits and permanent displays. They provide changing exhibits in a range of fine arts, history and natural sciences to keep residents and visitors alike interested. Admission into the museum is $5 for general, $3.50 for seniors over 60, and $2.50 for students 7 to 17. Younger children are free. Hours are 10am to 5pm daily, though they are closed on Tuesdays and major holidays. The new history and art galleries have the same hours.

The main gallery offers Take a Chance on Miniatures, which is a touring exhibit. It will be gone after the first of 2011. They are also having a special function for this exhibit. Permanent exhibits include Land and People of Napa Valley. This one shows over 25 years of history in rare artifacts. There is also a new permanent exhibit called Children's Exploration Corner that has hands on exploration such as bird's nests, rocks, and gems. There is also a Chinese Parasol and other Trunk Program displays.
