Holbrooke Hotel


The historic Holbrooke Hotel in located at 212 W. Main St, Grass Valley, CA 95945. This hotel features a restaurant, saloon and catering for special events. It was in 1974 that the Holbrooke Hotel was pronounced a California State Landmark and became part of the Historic Hotels of America National Trust for Historic Preservation. Presidents Grant, Cleveland, Harrison, and Garfield have all stayed at the hotel. There are 28 rooms within the hotel decorated in Victorian style, but with all the modern conveniences and technology.

Some of the guestrooms have private balconies, sitting areas or fireplaces. Baths are complete with old fashioned claw foot tubs. Guests enjoy cable TV, Wi-Fi internet, clock radio, coffeemaker with complimentary tea and coffee as well as iron and ironing board. A free continental breakfast is provided for guests each morning.

The Nevada County Grill serves luncheon from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm seven days a week. Dinner is also served seven days a week from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm, with a bar menu from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm daily. The Saloon is open day or night for food and drinks with a patio for relaxing when the weather permits. Live music is presented in the Saloon on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
