Gundlach Bundschu Winery

Gundlach Bundschu Winery is located at Denmark Street in Sonoma, Sonoma County, California and is approximately one hour's drive from San Francisco. The location of the winery at the foot of the Mayacamus Mountains along the Napa/Sonoma border makes it a great place for wine production. It opens daily from 11am to 4.30pm but remains closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Tours are available without prior reservation except for groups of eight or more, who will need to book in advance. One of the guided tours is of the caves where guests learn about using barrels in winemaking and a chance to taste developing wines. During the growing season between May and September, two hour tours of the vineyards take place starting at 10am.

The estate produces a wide variety of wines from grapes such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Zinfandel amongst others and date as far back as 1998. Part of the stock here is known as Vintage Reserve with wines dating from 1981 and featuring a unique art series label. The wines can be found in all 50 states but can be purchased here along with various gift sets.
