Goldbud Farms

Goldbud Farms is located at Carson Road in Placerville, California and is approximately 50 miles from Sacramento. Driving from Highway 50 West, the farms are about two miles along Carson Road on the right hand side. From the east Goldbud Farms can be found about 2.3 miles along the road on the left hand side.

Visitors to the farms will find a good selection of fruits grown here including apples, peaches, plums, nectarines, cherries and Bartlett and Asian pears. As the fruit is grown at 2,800 feet in the Sierra Nevada foothills it means the farms can produce larger produce. This is further assisted by the hot days and cool nights meaning the fruit doesn't grow too quickly. The fruit is then handpicked once it is ripe.

People can visit the fruit farms daily from 10am to 5pm between the start of July to just before Christmas. Fruit can be shipped to customers overnight or within two days and is packed with 12 extra large fruit per box in padded rows. Customers can take a sneak preview of the fruit available for that week at the Goldbud self tasting corner. A Saturday market is held at the farms throughout the year and visitors can pick up an informative brochure here.
