Garrod Farms Riding Stables

Garrod Farms Riding Stables are located at Garrod Road in Saratoga, California and are approximately 25 minutes from downtown San Jose. The stables are open daily from 8.30am to 4.30pm except Thanksgiving and Christmas. Here visitors aged eight and above can enjoy hour long guided horseback trail rides, whilst for the under eight year olds there are half hour pony rides available.

People are welcome to board their horses here too with access to over 20 miles of trails around the site. There are five riding arenas, two longing arenas, a round pen, three wash racks for the horses and limited trailer parking at the stables as well. Trainers and instructors are located on site and are ready to help visitors with their riding skills, with both English and Western style taught here.

Day camps are offered during the summer for children between 8 and 15 running Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm. Other courses are available for children during the summer including an English riding camp and a more advanced Western style camp amongst others. Hay and composted horse manure is sold from the stables as well as bedding supplies for the horses.
