Chaffin Family Orchards

Chaffin Family Orchards is located at 606 Coal Canyon Road in Oroville, California. The family farm which has been in existence for five generations was founded by Del Chaffin. Del went to the area in the first part of the 1900's after graduating from Berkeley. He was looking for somewhere that he could grow fruit all year long.

The Orchards have been producing olives and making olive oil for almost eight decades. Avocados, beef cattle, citrus and stone fruits have been grown on the farm for over five decades. Poultry and sheep have been raised for over twenty years; in 2006 meat goats began on the farm. The animals on the farm graze.

The honor system is used for the ranch stand which is open seven days a week. Those in need of assistance should call ahead in order to make an appointment to ensure that someone will be there to assist them. Tours of the farm can be arranged by calling ahead to the facility as well. A number of farmer's markets in the area sell Chaffin products.

Biodynamic, Natural and Organic farming methods are all used at the Orchard. These are utilized to ensure that the land and consumers receive products produced in the healthiest manner possible.
