Bacchus & Venus

Bacchus & Venus is a wine tasting venue and gallery in Sausalito, California. The venue is a two-floor wine tasting room and the art gallery overlooks the harbor and San Francisco Bay.

Visitors are invited to come and try a 'flight of wine' at the tasting bar from 12pm to 7pm each day. Flight of wine refers to different tasting areas that feature four different wines from different wineries with different appellations in California.

Staff is on hand to assist visitors through each 'flight'. Staff members will provide information on the techniques used in the winemaking process, which foods pair well with each wine. The 'flights' change daily so visitors are suggested to come and visit again to take another 'flight'.

The gallery offers a selection of fine arts from local artists; the pieces represent the sensations of wine and wine country. These pieces of work are available for purchase. Artists with works on show include Rosa Chavez, Stephen Luce and Susan Hoehn.

Visitors are also able to visit Old Town Truckee which is a new wine bar and tasting room that is located across from the historic train station and visitor center in Old Town Truckee.
